WHY DO WE DO THEM?

Every company does marketing - we choose to do ours by giving back

Our daughter had to have a brain surgery when she was just 6 months old, in the fear of possibly losing her, Cheryl picked up her camera and began creating portraits of our little girl to ensure we had something to hang onto in case of the worst. We were desperate to always have a connection to her.

Thank God, she made it and even with a second brain surgery at 6 years old, she’s a strong little girl and still with us and happy as can be.

This lead us to want to do the same thing for as many families as we can.

A marketing mentor told us, instead of taking out traditional advertising to reach people that we should really find a way to give this experience and a piece of artwork to families that in doing this, not only would we be giving back, but at the same time, families would get a chance to see what we can do, to experience the power of connection, and the level of artwork we produce, and those who fell in love would naturally invest in additional artwork.

So, we have made it a goal to bring in 2500+ families each year, to create portraits that have this level of connection and meaning for the and ensure that we always work from a heart of giving back.

We gift families who participate in our projects the portrait session itself, as well as one 8x10” fine art print. To ensure it’s our gift, we do a deposit to ensure that everyone arrives as scheduled - sadly when we first started, we discovered that about 75% of people we gifted this to just never arrived to their appointments - so we’ve implemented a 100% refundable deposit of $49 that simply reserves a date/time and is refunded at the artwork ordering appointment. (yes, you can apply it toward an artwork purchase, but that is not expected or required).

Unfortunately, of the tens-of-thousands of entries we receive for our projects - not everyone is invited to participate, & only a fraction are able to do this with us due to limited availability in the studio. If you don’t get selected, please try again in the future.

We believe everyone should experience the virtual hug that a fine-art portrait gives each time you see it in your home, and we hope we get a chance to do this for you/your family!
