Roseville Studio Tour:
1) Your Pre-Shoot Phone Consultation/Booking
Your portrait experience at Bokeh Creatives Portrait studio begins with a pre-shoot phone consultation. We believe in creating portraits that honor your family’s unique story and bond, so we want to learn about you to help us knock this out of the park. Also, you can ask questions & learn about us and our studio.
We request that you have consulted with your spouse/partner to ensure they are on board and you have some dates that would work for your appointment as we have fairly limited availability and can not always accommodate requested dates.
We do require a booking/date-reservation fee to hold your date/time in our calendar. On the day of your ordering appointment this is either refunded or can be applied as credit toward artwork. This covers any loss of the appointment session and/or design appointment and your photographer’s time. Basically it is our “please don’t be rude” insurance.
PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU HAVE A SPOUSE/PARTNER/SIGNIFICANT-OTHER, WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU BOTH ATTEND THE ORDERING APPOINTMENT TOGETHER. GIFT CREDITS ARE ONLY VALID WHEN USED DURING INITIAL DESIGN APPOINTMENT. IF YOU MUST SCHEDULE A FOLLOW-UP APPOINTMENT, THESE CREDITS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE.
2) Your Portrait Session Experience
We book out 1 hour of studio time exclusively for your/your family’s portrait experience. We have a dressing room if you would like to get changed and take care of finishing touches.
Your session will be based on your call notes, creating portraits true to your family’s story. Our photographers are experts as posing and will ensure your portraits are flattering. For our Fairy and Fishermen set, your kiddos get to explore with their imagination and have our team bring that magic to life.
The portrait session time in the camera room can range from 10 minutes to approximately 45 minutes depending on the number of family members.
You can prepare for your portrait session by reading our Wardrobe Guide to ensure you dress your best for your portraits. (remember, you can never be too overdressed - the only regrets we’ve heard are from those who under-dressed).
At your portrait session, your photographer and their assistant can help show you the different physical art pieces we create so that when you do your ordering session, you are already familiar with the styles you are most interested in.
3) Your Design/Ordering Appointment
Artwork does not come to life until it has a place to live. Your home is where we start, as this piece will serve as a virtual hug each time you see it.
These appointments are typically scheduled for the week following your portrait session, they are set for a weekday during normal business hours, and are scheduled for a 1 hour block of time here at the studio.
At your design and ordering appointment, our art director will cover the artwork options we offer, share a cinematic slideshow of your portraits so you can experience your family first hand and see an overview of what was created, and then you can select your favorite portraits to begin designing with.
We require pictures of any walls you are considering placing your artwork on as our software allows us to place portraits onto your wall true-to-size with an accuracy within 1/8” of finished size.
Each of our heirloom pieces of artwork are finished to our exacting standards with our signature touch for retouching. In our larger print sizes the sky is the limit on what our artist can do. She comes from the beauty industry and LOVES helping you to look your VERY best. She knows sometimes the camera adds 10 pounds, and she’s skilled at taking that right off, ensuring you look like you on your VERY best day!
Our signature pieces come with a lifetime warranty! We offer artwork options from $500+ with our most luxurious finish being our painted pieces which range from $10,000+ for our most discerning families. Most families will invest between $1,500 and $2,500 to create a prominent piece for their home, and some will pay for this outright at their ordering appointment, while others may choose to finance, or to do our in-house lay-away program.
